Before You Get Started
Please make sure you have completed the following before submitting your request:
- You have created an online account
- You will submit your request from the same email address used on your account
- You have valid tax‑exempt documentation ready to attach (PDF format preferred)
How to Submit a Tax‑Exempt Request
- From the email address associated with your account, email customercare@footlocker.com
- Use the subject line:
Tax Exempt Request
- Include all of the following information in the body of the email:
- Billing Name
- Billing Address
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- PDF attachment of your tax‑exempt documentation
Incomplete submissions may delay processing.
Verification Timeline
- Once your request is submitted, our Corporate Accounting team will review your documentation.
- Verification may take up to 2–3 weeks.
- You will receive an email update once the review is complete and your status is confirmed.
Placing an Order While Your Request Is Pending
If you need to place an order before your tax‑exempt status is approved:
- Sales tax will be applied at checkout
- Once your tax‑exempt status is approved, eligible sales tax will be refunded for delivered orders
After your account is verified:
- Your account will be marked as tax‑exempt
- All future orders placed using the approved email address will automatically be tax‑exempt
- No additional action is required for future purchases
